Review of general principles
Identify the Purpose of the Site
- What is the goal of the site?
- What is its audience?
- What is the site trying to persuade the audience to think?
Site Architecture
Make use of chunking/diagrams/other information architecture concepts from earlier in the course.
Create site inventory, using the following questions:
- What files are in the site?
- List all the files
- How is the site structured?
- Sketch a map or diagram of the entire site
- What experience or metaphor is this structure built around?
- Name the guiding metaphors used to organize structure
- List/brainstorm aspects of that metaphor
- How is the site navigated?
- Use wayfinding and keywords
- What is on each page?
- List features used in all pages
- List Features used within particular parts of the site
